The Ultimate Checklist

I have decided after many posts from myself and friends of mine that I needed to offer some assistance in the "Stay or Go" dilemma on facebook. So this is my checklist for determining whether your virtual friendship is one worth keeping or severing...
  1. Your life, existence, and status updates bear no immediate impact on my life and those lives closest to me.
  2. When I see you in public I do not go out of my way to acknowledge your presence and you do the same.
  3. Additionally, I do not always recognize you in public.
  4. You have failed to contribute an angle, opinion, or insight on any current event, event's of the past or issue which may hold substantial precedence in your life.
  5. Concerning #4 your children's issues do not count unless it violates some innate human right, civic law, or divine intervention.
  6. Your religious or political arguments are not accompanied by legitimate sources. (Note: do not Wikipedia "legitimate source")
  7. Your profile picture contains 75% cleavage
  8. You spell wait w a i t "e" There is no "E" in wait!
  9. I wouldn't be able to have a conversation with you longer than 5 minutes
  10. You complain about "other people being immature and not facing the issues at hand" NOTE: THAT IS IMMATURE
I hope you find this list to be of assistance in your FB endeavors.

Bloated and 3 1/2 inches gone!

Yes, I am 3 1/2 inches smaller even with Aunt F in town. It's official. I'm hooked. The cardio is a breeze. I'm normally one of those people that constantly watches the clock when I'm on the elliptical, but lately when I look down, the time is almost gone! I wanted to share my dinner with you guys. It's a great Fall recipe and one that you can use during your "cheat" days. The caloric intake is lower than what the plan recommends, but you can add a side dish to compensate.

Tilapia and Tomato Broth:

  • 2 Filets of Tilapia (Just because it's only Kachton and I. The recipe will serve 4 so you could do 4)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 4 Plum tomatoes diced
  • 1 Can white beans (Navy, Cannellini, Great Northern White) rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 C. Chicken Broth (LOW SODIUM)
  • 1/2 C Dry White Wine
  • 1 tsp Dry Rosemary Crushed
Heat oil in a non stick sauce pan over medium high heat. Salt and Pepper fish. Cook fish 5 minutes on each side, or until fish flakes with a fork. Remove fish from pan and keep warm. Add garlic, saute for 30 seconds. Add tomatoes, beans, broth, wine. Bring to a boil. Add rosemary and reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Serve in shallow bowls with fish on top.

*I've added the nutrition facts label. It says that the sodium is way high... I'm sure it may be inaccurate. But everything else is good.

Oh boy did I cheat!!!!!

But first of all I hate men! When have you ever heard your husband or fiance or boyfriend yell from the shower, "Holy crap I just almost pulled a muscle I didn't even know I had!!!" You probably haven't! Why is that? Because they don't throw their leg up on the wall of the shower to shave! I tried a new after bath oil last night, and this morning during my normal shower routine I fling my leg up on the wall and the foot remaining on the floor of the shower slid quickly back leaving me flexing muscles in my inner thigh, that I didn't think existed, in order to maintain standing! I haven't done the splits since HIGH SCHOOL until this morning! Stupid shower! And stupid men!

Oh my goodness I cheated so badly yesterday! But I still used all of the recommended supplements and I started my cardio too... (Only 30 minutes on the elliptical.) I decided I needed to cheat for multiple reasons:
  1. I have absolutely no self control
  2. I am not a super hero
  3. I love candy corn
  4. It's October
  5. My husband is in another state
  6. Everybody else is doing it
I thought, the reality is that anyone else who tries this program may also have so much going on in their life that cheating may be just what is needed by day 5 or 6. And the funny thing is it even says to stay strong in the little thought for the day on this particular day of the meal plan! Haha! Oh well... We'll see how much it really interrupts my weight loss. I still look better than I did when I started, energy is fine, sleep is still great and actually even getting better! I can see my abs again! I wish I could explain how much this has really helped my mental state too.

Those of you who knew me in High School could google the symptoms and signs of BiPolar 2 and easily understand my behavior then and now :-) I was an ideal case really. But no one thought anything of my actions, attitude, outbursts. It was always just Kacharel. Anyway, the inner conversations and overall "self talk" is really what gets the best of me. But since I have started this program I don't notice so much of it all. I seem to be able to focus better and accomplish my daily task list much easier.

So as far as the cheating is concerned, I know that I shouldn't have done it and I probably won't see the drastic results that are intended, but I will still see results. My mom has some clients right now that have been on the program and have lost between 8-14 pounds in the first 8 days! Mom is still on it and seeing amazing results as well.

I'm ready to help you get started too if you are ready. I kinda feel like the pre-intoxicated Lucy on the Vitavetavegamin episode :-) She was so excited to share this amazing elixir which turned out to be primarily alcohol! But in my case mine is simply just GOOD FOR YOU!

Day 3 & Today Is 4

Yesterday was amazing since I could eat all day! I was afraid of running out of energy though so I took one of the accelerates in the evening because I needed to work on my yard sale. It was too much for me. I really didn't need it.

I did sleep fine anyhow... And woke up today bright and early for the yard sale... Where I made a whoppin' $150! Haha! Oh well it's cold hard cash. Today is another one of the "system's" protein only days, but you get to add more protein to what you already normally take in the form of cheese. And I'm a laughing cow cheese addict!

I'm half way through the initial 8 day jump start fat burning process and I still feel awesome. I've even noticed my nails are strengthening back up. I don't know if that is in direct relation to the supplements or not. I'd like to think so.

I'm really amazed at the ingredients and nutrients of these things. Very impressive. I even noticed today that the shake has 0 sugars!

Day 3: EATING DAY!!!

Who'da thunk... I would be so happy for Day 3! EATING DAY! Haha! I still haven't had any food cravings, energy lulls, or sleepless nights. I even measured myself for fun last night. I know that it wasn't the right thing to do because people's bodies and water retention fluctuates so you're supposed to pick an exact time of the day and week to compare measurements to, but I couldn't resist. And.... drum roll please.....

I'VE LOST 2 INCHES IN 2 DAYS!

This is big! I measured myself three different times to make sure I had the right numbers. I am happy with my progress. And today I actually get to eat all day. Keep in mind that I haven't printed out the entire "System Plan" so I don't really know what the days hold past the day that I am currently on... I try not to anticipate it, because I will psych myself out.

I did miss my afternoon Xyng yesterday. I was working and not paying attention to the time so by the time I realized I should probably have taken one it was too late. I didn't want to risk any adverse affects such as sleep deprivation. So when I got home yesterday from work I was a little tired, but a 20 minute nap picked me right back up. So for those of you who may not have 20 minutes to spare in the evening for a nap I would highly recommend setting alarms and calendar reminders for your eating and supplements.

My brain is functioning again at full capacity, which is something that I have missed for the past few months. It is so nice to be able to complete a thought and finish projects that I have put off!

MENTAL CLARITY!

I now have a website where anyone can order these products from- When I get through day 8 and do some more research I will definitely let everyone know where to go!

Day 2: Deep Cleanse/Detox/Protein Only Day

Ok... Mother dearest has shipped me a fat burning system in the form of protein shakes and supplements in order to help me jump start my weight loss. Weight loss??? Ugh! Yes, I desperately need some assistance in this department. When the wedding dress came off the pounds magically appeared! And in all the wrong places! So, due to my post wedding day depression from leaving my husband in Oregon, I have had little motivation to monitor my food intake or energy expenditure.... And with Bipolar consuming my life I have lost all of my energy!

MOM TO THE RESCUE! She swore to me that this "System" would help rejuvenate my spirit and I would see the pounds slip away. She has lost over 20 pounds during the summer using this "System" so I agreed to give it a try. Keep in mind I am really sensitive to ALL supplements. If it has any "Fat Burning" properties I usually have heart palpitations and chest pains and find myself running around like a chicken with my head cut off!

Tuesday night, I measured myself and went to bed slightly dreading what the day to come would bring. Wednesday, I woke up bright and early at 9:05 am :-) and took my first round of pills... waited for 30 minutes and DRANK my breakfast. I ABSOLUTELY HATE PROTEIN SHAKES! They make me sooo sick. But the program only calls for two days of protein shakes. I followed the program all day as recommended until Shayla and Shawn's party where I consumed some icing... But no damage done...

Looking back over yesterday I would like to note that I didn't have ANY food cravings, I didn't get hungry, and I had energy... Not the buzzing around kind of energy either. I had my morning coffee even! I slept soundly- something I haven't done in a while. So it went pretty well over all. I hope today is equally easy.

I refuse to put my actual measurements on here until I notice a change. They were so bad that I was ashamed to even write them down!!! I have never had this much thickness on me ever! Even when I was a freshman in college binge drinking and eating and at my heaviest.... Oh, by the way, I don't believe in scales so as far as how much I actually weigh right now I wouldn't have the slightest idea.

But anyway, if all of this works and keeps me happy and puts me back in my favorite jeans then I will rejoice naked in the streets. Ok, maybe not naked. But I will have a dance party all by myself. One of the privileges I have of being a single married lady!

What's your disease.....

Everyone has one right? I mean it may be a physical illness or a mental illness, but nonetheless it is a disease. And when you get right down to it everyone has one. You can't say one is worse than the other. You can't outright compare any two diseases and how people respond to living with their diseases.... If you want to look at it completely abstractly you could say, physically speaking, that your disease will eventually kill you. But guess what?! I have bipolar, which means my disease may eventually lead me to kill someone else. So when you look at it from this perspective, either way someone could potentially die.

Now I am not saying that I am going to go out and kill anyone, although occasionally I have those days when I get ridiculously sick of seeing people's complaints as their "status updates" on Facebook. I am guilty of it too, but seriously! Let's get back to the root of why these fabulous social networking sites began. Years ago those of us in college were asked to join our collegiate networks in order to stay in touch with our peers. Now, as in today, it is just a bitch fest! I'm sick of it! But what's really cool is that I have complete control of whose "bitching" I see. So beginning today I will "hide" all of these Facebook Celebrities and their eventful good for nothing lives.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves now... I know that people need to sometimes vent about their problems, issues, diseases, but when doing so let's not point fingers and put ourselves on a pedestal. Keep in mind that millions of people are suffering in silence right alongside of you too. Not every cloud has a silver lining, not ever disease a cure, and definitely not a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. Life's not fair, politics are a white collar popularity contest, and we're all in this for how ever long the Big Guy has planned for us... Take the time to take yourself out of your own spotlight to see the world around you.

I am here.

Right here. Adjusting. Trying to adjust. Trying to find my normal. Whatever that may be. We have had a very interesting "adjustment" period. Oh God this has been one heck of a ride. Travis and I have dealt with so many changes and challenges in the past few months that we definitely will be ready for our vacation when it arrives....

I am amused at some of the posts I have posted in the past about all of my new adventures, and even some of the ideas. Which a few of them never actually aspired to anything, others that we took off and ran with. Anyhow, we continue to get the question from our friends and family, "What now?" I want to scream, "STOP ASKING THIS QUESTION, can't you see I have no idea what now?!" The biggest "What now" came recently when I returned to Oklahoma following our wedding without my groom :-) Yes, I'm the Black Widow... I bit off his head!

Haha! Oh boy! If only I could explain where our minds are leading us right now.... But I can't, and to me that's part of the fun in it all. The unknown, the outer realm of our dreams, the "almost"'s and "we're going to"'s, the sleepless nights and early mornings are all what we live for. This ride keeps taking it's twists and turns and all we are doing is hanging on. Guess what? It's only a two passenger car too, so everyone else that thinks they deserve to see the bend in the road ahead needs to stop tailgating us!
